Three years after her father’s death, Nora Hale receives an impossible message from his digital estate account: “Don’t sell the basement.” What begins as a glitch soon leads her beneath the family home, where she uncovers a sealed server room, a hidden contract with EternaLife, and the horrifying truth that her dead mother, June, has been kept offline as a fragmented digital consciousness.

As Nora searches for answers, she discovers that her family was never just a victim of EternaLife’s technology. Her mother investigated the company, her father tried to expose it, and Nora herself was used as the core subject of a grief experiment designed to make the living emotionally dependent on the dead. With her parents’ digital remnants collapsing and EternaLife preparing to erase the evidence, Nora must enter the company’s system and confront the most dangerous creation of all: a posthumous version of herself, built from her pain.
